Missing New Jersey Grandmother and Granddaughter Found in Dinwiddie

Police have confirmed that missing 71-year-old Barbara Briley and her great-granddaughter LaMyra Briley have been located and safe  in Dinwiddie County.

They have been missing since Christmas Eve, when they were last seen in Ruther Glen, VA.

Police say they were found around 5 p.m. on Wednesday near Nash Road. They were found in the car parked on private property.

Barbara was flown to VCU Medical Center for treatment, while LaMyra appeared unharmed but was transported from the scene for evaluation, according to police.

Sources say Barbara had a bout of dementia and LaMyra was a little dehydrated but appears to be safe.

The two were heading from New Jersey to North Carolina when they went missing. Agencies from each state have been searching along the route they were expected to take for the past several days.
