Mayor Levar Stoney Greets Students on their First Day Back

Levar Stoney’s first official day as the Mayor of Richmond isn’t until tomorrow. (12/3) But, today as all of the local public school students are coming back from the holiday break, the Mayor was there to greet them. According to Stoney’s Twitter, he stopped by John Marshall High School, Martin Luther King Middle School, and Oak Grove-Bellmeade Elementary School.

Jeff Bourne, the RPS Schoolboard chairman was also their to greet students with Stoney.  The Mayor will also be stopping by the Neighborhood Resource Center on Williamsburg Road to help with some painting.
