Richmond City Council and Richmond’s School Board members were sworn into office on Tuesday January 3rd. Richmond Schools have been a huge topic among School Board campaigns obviously, but also the City Council and Mayor elections were filled with RPS plans.

Richmond City Council were sworn in and then they elected new leaders at its first meeting of the year on Tuesday. Chris Hilbert was selected president of council and councilwoman Cynthia Newbille was picked as vice president. Tuesday’s meeting was an organizational one. No topics were discussed, but Levar Stoney was also there.
