A man trying to elude police landed in jail today after crashing into multiple vehicles. Police began pursuing the man around 12 p.m. on Thursday. The chase began when the vehicle sped through a work zone at Jahnke Road and Buford. A state trooper tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused.
Police say the vehicle then drove wirelessly through Chesterfield, striking four different vehicles. The suspect struck a vehicle on Courthouse Road, one at the intersection of S. The suspect tried to escape on foot from police near Arch Village, but that was unsuccessful. Police detained him quickly. The suspect is said to be 25 years old, but his identity has not been released.
