Richmond police say a one-year-old baby was shot late Sunday night after shots were fired outside of a home.
The shooting happened at a home on Woodcliff Avenue at Custer Street, near East Brookland Park Boulevard, around 11:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found several bullets hit the home, and one of the bullets hit the one-year-old in the arm. The baby was inside the home at the time of the shooting and is expected to be okay.
The child’s relatives were also in the home but were not hit.
Police are now searching for a suspect and a motive.
