Richmond police are saying that a shooting victim drove himself to a Wawa in Henrico after he was shot in RVA’s northside.

Officers received a call around 4:39 a.m. Wednesday for shots fired at the intersection of East Ladies Mile Road and Delmont Street.

Police responded and say they were later notified by Henrico police that a man, who may be related to the incident in the city, drove himself to the Wawa in the 5500 block of Brook Road, near Interstate 95.

Officers say his injuries are non-life threatening, and he is currently at the hospital.

Both Richmond and Henrico police are on the scene at the Wawa, but Richmond police are leading the investigation.
