J Street Endorses Abigail Spanberger for VA07

RICHMOND, VA — Today, J Street announced its support for Abigail Spanberger, candidate for
Congress in Virginia's 7th Congressional District. J Street is a pro-Israel, pro-peace organization that works in support of shared US and Israeli interests and efforts to pursue a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict via a two-state solution.

“We are proud to endorse Abigail Spanberger, who represents the goals and values of
American Jews and pro-Israel voters in Virginia's 7th District and across the country,” said J
Street National Political Director, Aaron Davis. “By defeating President Trump’s congressional
enablers and empowering a new wave of leaders like Abigail, we can push back on policies that
are exacerbating conflict and chaos in the Middle East.”

“I am honored to receive the support of J Street,” said Spanberger. “I value the important and
multifaceted relationship that the United States maintains with Israel, and as a former
intelligence officer, I also fully recognize the vital nature of our countries’ partnership in
supporting our common security goals, and working towards a sustainable peace process in the
Middle East. Organizations such as J Street are essential voices in the effort to bring a peaceful
resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

J Street’s endorsement joins a growing list of organizations and individuals supporting
Spanberger’s candidacy, including EMILY’s List, End Citizens United, NARAL Pro-Choice
America, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s Off the Sidelines, and numerous elected leaders, including
Virginia Delegates Dawn Adams, Debra Rodman, and Schuyler VanValkenburg, as well as
Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney. She will face Republican Congressman Dave Brat in
November.

League of Conservation Voters Action Fund Endorses Abigail Spanberger

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, which works to
elect candidates who support sound environmental policies, announced today its full
endorsement of Abigail Spanberger’s candidacy for the U.S House of Representatives in
Virginia’s 7th District.

“LCV Action Fund is excited to endorse Abigail Spanberger because she is committed to
supporting Virginia’s growing clean energy economy,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice
President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “Her decades of service to our country and
national security expertise will be invaluable in Congress as she tackles the threats posed by
climate change and pollution.”

Protecting the environment is one of Spanberger’s key platform issues, and she was quick to
express her gratitude to the LCV for their support.

“It’s a tremendous honor to have earned the endorsement of the League of Conservation Voters
Action Fund,” said Spanberger. “I've long admired LCV’s dedication to protecting the
environment through public advocacy. Climate change presents an ever-growing threat to our
economy, our national security, and our way of life, and we’re long past due for a representative
who not only acknowledges this fact but is committed to addressing it. I will be that
representative.”

Added Spanberger, “For too long, we’ve put aside the long-term health of our ecosystem in the
name of short-term profit. It’s imperative that our lawmakers take action now to establish
rigorous standards for environmental responsibility, and do everything in our power to slow and
ultimately reverse the effects of climate change.”

The LCV joins a growing list of national progressive advocacy groups who’ve spoken out in
support of Spanberger, including End Citizens United, EMILY’s List, and NARAL Pro-Choice
America.
