The Spanberger campaign just announced another endorsement today, this one from Virginia AG Mark Herring. Check it out below.
Today, Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring endorsed Abigail Spanberger, Democratic candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 7th District. A former state senator, Mark Herring was first elected as Virginia’s 48th attorney general in 2013, and was reelected in 2017.
“I’m excited to extend my support to Abigail,” said Herring. “As Virginia’s Attorney General, I’ve worked hard to help build safer, stronger communities while defending the rights of citizens all across the Commonwealth. As a former CIA officer and someone committed to public service, I know that Abigail will work hard to defend these same principles in Congress and I am confident in her ability to successfully advocate for a more just, equitable and safe Commonwealth.”
“Attorney General Herring has dedicated his time in office to protecting the civil rights of all Virginians and making our state a safer place to live, work and raise a family,” said Spanberger. “Over the past five years, his dedication to protecting and defending common-sense policies has increased Virginia’s economic competitiveness and contributed to our continued success on a national and global level. I am honored by Attorney General Herring’s endorsement and I look forward to working alongside him as a member of Congress.”
