Authorities in Henrico say that a child had died 2 days after being pulled from a pool at a Henrico Hotel. The child is from Pennsylvania. The incident happened at the Embassy Suites Pool near Glenside Drive.

Police responded to the hotel around 10 p.m. on Friday. Henrice Fire officials transported the child to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. A police spokesperson said the child succumbed to his injuries on July 22.

People that were nearby the pool at the time pulled the boy out and tried to help him by performing CPR.

“We are actively and fully cooperating with the police investigation”, says Mark Yardis, the VP of Operations for Shamin Hotels.
