The Interstate 95 Temple Ave. exit in Colonial Heights will be closed Tuesday night into Wednesday morning

For the week of Aug. 20-27, crews will continue work to build a wire wall on Temple Ave. west, install drainage facilities, including water lines and pipes, install an overhead sign structure on Interstate 95 south and work on light pole foundations. Hamilton Avenue closure and short detour

Starting overnight June 18, crews on the I-95 Temple Avenue project will close Hamilton Avenue between Temple Avenue and Prince Albert Avenue to complete road work and off-road drainage installation at that location. Crews may use alternating lane closures on Temple Avenue near Hamilton Avenue to facilitate the road closure during the overnight hours of June 18. The closure is expected to remain in place continuously until fall 2017.

Local drivers can use the following posted detour:

  • Continue on Temple Avenue west to the Boulevard/Route 1 south. Take James Avenue to Snead Avenue, then take MacArthur Avenue back to Hamilton Avenue.
