Photos: Virginians gather to protest against ripping children from their parents

Show This To Everyone

“I need you to fight for me so my family can see me graduate from VCU next year. You have the power that I don’t”

NextGen Virginia  hosted the official Richmond Families Belong Together event today at the state Capitol.

NextGen shared on Facebook that their goal is for Virginians to come together and rally against the inhumane practice of ripping children away from their families when they come here seeking asylum.

“Our Republican representatives in Congress and GOP Senate candidate Corey Stewart have not condemned the Trump administration for committing these atrocities and lying to the public about it. It’s up to us to make sure they pay for this at the polls in November—we’ll be doing voter registration here for anyone who needs it, and having everyone pledge to vote in November so we can take action against horrifying policies like this.”
