The Washington Redskins allowed 501 yards of offense, but only gave up 3 points to the Buccaneers in a 16 to 3 win on Sunday. Tampa Bay committed 4 turnovers and one of those was created by Redskins’ cornerback Josh Norman as he made an impressive play intercepting Buccaneers quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the first quarter. The Redskins sit at the top of the NFL with a plus 11 turnover ratio, forcing 18 turnovers in 9 games.

Norman then made a news worthy speech after the game when he called out Redskins fans for booing as he said “We can play all the games on the road if you ask me.” The cornerback also added that “I feel like we play better on the road, I’m not going to lie” and that it seems like the true fans travel with them on the road. The Redskins do have a 3-2 record at home this year, but Josh Norman feels as if playing at home is like playing on the other team’s turf, due to the ratio of home to away fans at FedEx Field.

As if Washington needed any more bad news to their offensive line, Head Coach Jay Gruden told reporters on Monday that rookie offensive tackle Geron Christian Sr. will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his MCL on Sunday.

The Redskins have an impressive stat that everyone needs to know. The team has not allowed a single lead change in any game this season, meaning that when they start with a lead they win and then when they start behind they finish behind. 6 games this season the Redskins have started with a lead and 3 of them they have started behind. This is the first time since 1991 that the Redskins are leading the NFC East in first place at the Week 10 mark.

Washington has a surprising 6-3 record going into week 11 to face the Houston Texans who are coming off their bye week on a 6 game winning streak. Head Coach Jay Gruden announced that “the best is yet to come” from the Redskins and that the team will not fine linebacker Zach Brown for his controversial tweets.
