The Washington Redskins may have a fairy godmother granting them wishes with a remotely easy late-season schedule. That is if they can overcome multiple injuries as well as New Orleans Saints.
The next five out of six of their scheduled games are against teams with a losing record. Hopefully the Redskins can show up and walk away with a couple of wins. The problem with this being an easy feat is the fact the Redskins have been hit hard with numerous injuries.
The injured reserve list keeps growing with running back Rob Kelley, suffered a high ankle sprain as well as a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his knee, and middle linebacker Will Compton who suffered a Lisfranc foot injury. Also, wide receiver Ryan Grant entered the concussion protocol with Brian Quick and tight end Niles Paul.
The Redskins have a tough match ahead of them this week, as they face the New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees and the Saints have overcome a tough start, 0-2, to winning seven straight games. There may be little to no faith from fans on us winning since we seem to be missing quite a few starters.
Coach Gruden stated after Sunday’s lost against the Minnesota Vikings, “For the most part, players have to get ready to play, and I have to do a better job of getting them ready to play. If they’re not ready, then that’s on me.”
Well then Coach Gurden we now solely depend on you to bring home the victory against the Saints. Let us see you overcome these injuries and the Saints by rallying your team properly. Good luck.
