Richmond City Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule and Closings





City of Richmond government offices, including City Hall, will be closing at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and will remain closed through Friday, Nov. 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017.

 

All city community centers will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. and will remain closed through Sunday, Nov. 26, reopening on Monday, Nov. 27 at normally scheduled hours.

All city libraries will also be closed Nov. 23 and Nov. 24, reopening on Saturday, Nov. 25. Broad Rock library will be open Sunday, Nov. 26.
Richmond Animal Care and Control will be closed Nov. 23 – 25. The shelter will operate at normal business hours on Nov. 26. RACC is looking for foster families that are not traveling and would be willing to pick up a dog or cat Nov. 19 – 22 to keep until Nov. 29. RACC will provide food/crate and anything else needed to provide for the animal during their stay.




 

Refuse collection will not be performed on Thursday, Nov. 23 as the City’s Solid Waste Management Division will also be closed. This closure will result in a one day delay for Thursday collection, which will take place on Friday, Nov. 24.

 

The East Richmond Road Convenience Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. The Hopkins Road Transfer Station will also be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and will reopen on Friday, Nov. 24.
