Bogle’s death is the 61st homicide in Richmond in 2016. The city is nearing its highest homicide total in a decade.
Earlier this week, Richmond Police Chief Alfred Durham said that illegal firearms are involved in many of this year’s homicides.
Durham stressed that residents can report illegal firearms though the city’s “Gun 250” program and could earn a reward of up to $250 should the information lead to the recovery of an illegal firearm and/or arrest of an offender.
