Three Killed in a Two Vehicle Crash in Prince George County

On Wednesday at approximately, 1:57 p.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with three confirmed fatalities at southbound Interstate 95 near the 36.9 mile marker. 

The trooper’s preliminary investigation reveals that a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by, Eric G. Estes, 38, of Oldsmar, Fl., was traveling northbound I-95 when he veered across the median striking head on, a 2017 Lincoln Navigator traveling southbound. 

Estes was wearing his seat belt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.  The driver of the Lincoln, identified as, Gary K. Lilly, 70, of The Villages, Fl., and the front seat passenger, Elizabeth L. Lilly, 70, of The Villages, Fl., were not wearing their seat belts and both succumbed to their injuries at the scene. 

VDOT assisted with road closure. 

The crash remains under investigation.
