University of North Carolina head coach Roy Williams receives some praise from Jay Bilas

The thought of losing center Tony Bradley Jr. may worry some University of North Carolina Tar Heels fans, and rightfully so, but it’s not time to panic.

Bradley Jr. announced he was leaving UNC after just one season to keep his name in the 2017 NBA Draft.

The Tar Heels are coming off of a national championship season but are losing key players from that team.

That was a team that dominated the offensive glass, helping propel them back atop the college basketball world.

With UNC losing Bradley Jr., Justin Jackson, Kennedy Meeks and Isaiah Hicks, the Tar Heels front court will look a whole lot different.

But one expert insists that UNC will figure it out and praised head coach Roy Williams in the process.

Former Duke Blue Devils standout and current ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas appeared on the David Glenn Show to discuss the ACC. When Bradley’s decision was brought up, Bilas had this to say:

Sure, the Tar Heels don’t have the top class coming in for 2017 but there’s still talent.

UNC recruited Jalek Felton, Garrison Brooks, Sterling Manley, Andrew Platek and Brandon Huffman, giving them a nice class. Brooks, Manley and Huffman will all have opportunities to show what they can do in UNC’s front court.

Like Bilas said, Williams has found ways to do this in the past and while it might be a struggle early on, we should have confidence that Williams will find a way to make this wrok.

Oh, and that whole NCAA cloud? Well UNC released its response to the third Notice of Allegations on Thursday and you should really read it.

UNC will open its title defense on Friday, November 10 when it hosts Northern Iowa at the Dean Dome.
