Casey Morsell is continuing to impress the basketball community while playing for USA Basketball.

247Sports’ Evan Daniels in on-hand and he continued to be impressed by the Washington (D.C.) St. Johns College High School shooting guard.

“Every time I see Virginia signee Casey Morsell I like him a little more,” said Daniels. “Tough kid that competes on defense, but he’s a shot maker from distance & can finish at the rim. Has a 6-9 wingspan.”

ESPN reports that Morsell is a scoring guard who can put points on the board in various ways. Naturally strong with broad shoulders and good length, he plays a physical style and has a good understanding of how to use his body to his advantage.

Morsell is rated four-stars according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s ranked as the No. 55 player nationally and No. 4 shooting guard.

Morsell talked about what aspects of his game he needs to work on ahead of the start of his senior season and ultimately, his arrival at UVA.

“My defense,” said Morsell. “Try to go [to UVA] and play immediately, your defense has to be at a high level. Offensively, just being more consistent with my jumpshot. Make my IQ higher offensively. Just improve all aspects of my game; ball-handling, shooting, getting strong in the weight room, everything. I need to get better.”
