Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are working on grading, curb work, and new pavement along Temple Avenue in Colonial Heights to improve the Interstate 95/Temple Avenue interchange.
“The project will replace the existing interchange with a roundabout and extend the interstate ramps to improve safety and smooth traffic flow,” VDOT said.
From April 3 to April 6, crews will be installing pavement markings and moving barriers to complete the traffic shift, which will start on Friday, April 7. Westbound traffic on Temple Avenue will be shifted to the left of the current travel lanes. VDOT crews say the traffic will not shift eastbound traffic.
